Labyrinth retreat - A gathering of personal healing and collective remembrance.
As a member of the Community Deathcare Ottawa steering committee we collaborated with the Cathedral Labyrinth Guild to organize a labyrinth retreat on October 14, 2023 at the Christ Church Cathedral in downtown Ottawa. It was absolutely beautiful!
The labyrinth walk offered an opportunity for participants to walk with their ancestors and be with their grief in different ways. For some it provided a moment of solitude, of reflection and contemplation, for others it was a time to connect with a supportive community. We created time and space for meditation and journalling as well as an art corner where people could let their inspiration flow and remember by creating meaningful art representing their experience.
